Database Upgrade procedures for ASAS 3.x
Solution
Requirements
- Data01_upgrade.sql file located on the Authenex CD that came with your token shipment
- Access to the ASAS server
Downtime = none
Restart required = no
1. Logon to the ASAS Server and navigate to Start > Programs > Authenex > ASAS 3.x > DBImport.
The ASAS Initialization dialog appears.
2. Click the Upgrade Database radio button.
3. Click the ellipses button [. . .] next to the text field at the bottom of the dialog.
The Open dialog appears.
4. Locate and select the file titled data01_upgrade.sql and click Open. The ASAS Initialization dialog returns, containing the path to the file.
5. Click Continue.
The Upgrade dialog appears.
6. Click the ellipses button [. . .] next to the text field at the bottom of the dialog.
The Open dialog appears.
7. Locate and select the file title license.txt from
c:\program files\authenex\asas\database\import
and click Open.
The ASAS Initialization dialog returns, containing the path to the file.
Please make sure the path is to c:\program files\authenex\asas\database\import\license.txt.
8. Click Database Upgrade.
The DB Import dialog appears.
9. Click Yes as there should already be a yellow license key inserted into the ASAS server.
The DB Import dialog refreshes.
10. Remove the first License A-Key, then insert the other License A-Key into the USB port and click Yes. The DB Import dialog refreshes, informing you that the license was updated.
11. Click OK. DOS prompts appear.
NOTE: Wait for the command prompts to close. Do not close them yourself. Services will restart.
The DB Import dialog refreshes, informing you that the data was correctly encrypted.
12. Click OK. The Congratulations dialog appears.
13. Click Exit. The ASAS Install Wizard Complete screen appears.
